  • Women Helping Women/DV resources
Hey Cody. I would suggest calling the YWCA first. They are the domestic violence shelter in the area. The number is 513-872-9259. There are some other domestic violence shelters outside of Hamilton County as well that could be an option. If the YWCA doesn't have any beds I can direct you to those shelters. Do you happen to know if she is connected with Women Helping Women? If it is easier, you can email me at or call/text my cell at 513-390-4431.

  • Housing List
I was taking a look at the housing list and noticed some of the information for Lighthouse Youth and Family Services is out of date.

    - Youth Crisis Center has been renamed Mecum House. Mecum House is located at 2522 Highland Ave. in Coryville. They continue to serve as a safe haven for youth ages 10-17 who do not feel safe in their homes. Phone number/crisis hotline: 513-961-4080

    - Sheakley Center for Youth has moved to 2314 Iowa Ave. Sheakley serves homeless youth ages 18-24. The Sheakley building has 36 individual shelter beds, 39 apartments, and a day resource center. Phone number: 513-569-9500

-The previous location of the Youth Crisis Center, located at 3330 Jefferson Ave., is now the Youth Development Center. It is now a residential treatment facility for young boys ages 12-18. Phone number: 513-221-1017

-Lighthouse also has a residential treatment facility for young girls, located at 6124 Dryden Ave., called New Beginnings. Phone number: 513-531-0060
  • Cincinnati Community Resource Guide During COVID-19
Another community resource that can be helpful during COVID-19:

Test and Protect provides COVID-19 tests for free to anyone who lives and/or works in Hamilton County. You do NOT need health insurance to get a COVID-19 test. They do not ask about immigration status at testing sites.

    link to website: https://healthcollab.org/testandprotect/

You can pre-register on this website and its lists dates, times, and locations of testing sites. The information is updated Monday-Friday. The website has a lot of FAQs about the testing and businesses can request on-site testing using a form on their website as well!
