Hamilton County Public Health is initiating a program for individuals in recovery to provide inter-professional mentoring & model recovery to local professionals in effort to rewrite the narrative around addiction and the journey through recovery. This initiative aims to support our communities first responders and combat stigma amongst professionals working with those substance use. This is a paid consulting position with a year commitment.

For a recap, here’s a few points from our discussion:

This extraordinary opportunity is referred to as a consultant or vendor. You will be contacted with Hamilton County Public Health and payroll will come through Hamilton County’s Auditor Office. You will receive a 1099 at the end of the year for tax reporting purposes. Taxes will not be with held from your stipend, so please plan if offered the position.

If you are employed elsewhere, please connect with you HR department around outside employment before moving forward.

Candidates that apply will be helping to launch this program. We will lean on your feedback and suggestions to revise and reform as we move along. We appreciate flexibility, transparency, and creativity!

We would appreciate suggestion pertaining to name and professions/organizations to consult with outside first responders and law enforcement. We are focusing on professions that serve those affected by substance use (helping and healing industry) who we see on a larger scale becoming “burned out” and developing stigma towards this population.

Application deadline is June 10th. Interviews will be scheduled soon after.
